Arnuero collected the Q for quality for its beaches and showcased at FITUR 2024 its commitment to local gastronomic tourism

The team from the Ecoparque de Trasmiera carried out an intense programme of activities at Fitur 2024, where, in addition to the event “Isla Gastronómica” presented at the Cantabria stand, they attended the “Q Night” at which they received the Q quality certifications for the beaches of La Arena and El Sable from the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu.

The Town Hall of Arnuero once again focused its tourism promotion efforts by publicising the projects that will be developed in the municipality under the Tourism Sustainability Plan.

This Plan is committed to creating a significant green infrastructure network that will form a network of Centres, paths, recreation areas, areas for physical activity and places for contemplation. Total connection with nature, to explore on foot or by bicycle.

With the aim of turning Arnuero into a «NEUTRAL DESTINATION», there will be a major commitment to sustainable mobility, which, supported by digitalisation, will make it possible to improve communication and information for residents and visitors, facilitating access to car parks in a controlled manner and minimising saturation of services.

Within the Competitiveness Axis, a set of actions will be carried out aimed at complementing our «TERRITORY VITAMIN» with a wider range of experiential leisure, culture, nature and health. Of course, always linked to our local products, our traditions and our history.

For this reason, the Town Hall presented at FITUR the event entitled “Isla Gastronómica: Tierra de langosta, pimiento y vino”. The presentation focused on the value of Gastronomic Tourism as a lever for rural development, and on boosting the primary sector by promoting family farming and livestock farming, and the conservation of local products with high gastronomic, economic and social value.

The event was presented at the Cantabria stand, and it was also attended by Juan Manuel España, chef from Hotel Escuela Las Carolinas, with the live presentation of the roast pepper and lobster tapas accompanied by Isla white wines.
