The Councillor’s Office for Education, through the Municipal Council for Children, launches a creative challenge for children in the municipality. The challenge consists of writing a story or making a drawing, which will be sent to the residents of the Isla Care Home or to patients at the Laredo Hospital affected by COVID-19. The aim is twofold: on the one hand, to encourage creativity and solidarity among the youngest, while, at the same time, our older people or sick people will receive encouragement and support from the population through these stories and drawings. The Contest is not presented in a competition format, so there will be no jury. However, among those who take part, a tablet will be raffled as an incentive for participation.

CREATIVITY CONTEST #TOGETHERWECANMAKEIT
The Councillor’s Office for Education of the Arnuero Town Hall, through the Municipal Council for Child and Adolescent Participation, in view of the need to stimulate creativity and encourage a spirit of solidarity, has organised an online contest, through which, in addition to developing study and imagination, participants can help make these days less difficult for our older people and sick people due to Covid-19.
RULES
FIRST: Who can take part.- The contest is open to all children and young people living in the Municipality of Arnuero who have turned 3 or will turn 3, up to and including those who are 18, in the current year.
SECOND: Categories.-The contest will consist of two categories
-narrative
-Drawing
1st. In the narrative category, the work will consist of writing a story or tale, whether fictional or based on real events, on any theme, without the author ever forgetting who it is intended for. It will be a kind text that will later be read to the residents of the Isla Care Home and to the patients of the Laredo Hospital. They may be written by hand or on a computer, with a maximum length of six sheets, written in Spanish and in prose, in DIN-A4 format, on one side only.
2nd. In the drawing category, the theme and technique are free, as are the format and support, since it must be sent by email, either by being scanned digitally or by being photographed.
THIRD: Submission date.- The works must be submitted before the end of the state of alarm. No work received afterwards will be accepted.
FOURTH: How to submit.- The works must be submitted digitally via the email entraenredarnuero@gmail.com, in two attached files in Word or pdf format. One file will contain the story and/or drawing with a title, while the other must include the author’s personal details (don’t forget to include a contact phone number).
FIFTH: Jury.- The Contest will not be competitive, so it will not be necessary to name a jury or interpretive criteria in the rules.
SIXTH: Prizes.- Without prejudice to point five, a tablet will be raffled among all the participants via the sortea2 system, which will be properly announced through the channels available to the Arnuero Town Hall.
SEVENTH: Publication and delivery of original works.- The Town Hall may publish and request the delivery of the original works, at the time and in the manner it considers most appropriate.
