The Ecoparque de Trasmiera joins the Libera Project, a project developed by SEO/BirdLife in partnership with Ecoembes as an organisation that cares for the environment through recycling and awareness-raising. Libera is a project that brings together science and infrastructure but, above all, civic spirit and social mobilisation. Libera is a call to action so that, together, we can free much more life in favour of biodiversity.
WHAT IS 1m2? 1m2 is a concept that accompanies us in LIBERA as a driver of citizen collaboration to clean our shared home, nature. It reflects that, by combining everyone’s efforts, we can achieve many clean square metres and create a major impact on our natural environment.
The Department of Environment and the Ecoparque de Trasmiera, which has among its main objectives the conservation of the natural environment, have joined the Libera Project of SEO Birdlife by calling a clean-up day at the Ría de Castellanos, within the campaign “1 m2 for rivers, reservoirs and ponds”. The announcement has changed date due to the poor weather forecast for this weekend and will take place next Saturday 20 March at 11:00 am in the car park at La Arena beach. To take part, it is necessary to register in advance, as for Covid19 protocol reasons participation will be in small groups and with participant registration.
