The Town Hall of Arnuero, committed to the preservation of heritage, has made this one of its pillars for development, and through the Ecopark of Trasmiera strategic plan it has carried out intensive work to recover, preserve and enhance its cultural and natural heritage. This initiative earned the Hispania Nostra Prize 2012, as stated by the Awards Jury:
“For the comprehensive and sustained intervention carried out by the Town Hall of Arnuero within its municipal boundaries, following a local action strategic plan that promotes new management and use of the territory based on the recovery and revaluation of historical, cultural and natural heritage, both of which are conceived as a single heritage whole”.
Since receiving that award, the Town Hall has continued to implement its strategic plan, thanks to which cultural and natural heritage has become the driving force behind the development of this municipality. On this journey, receiving the Hispania Nostra Prize 2012, along with other major national and international awards, constitutes a landmark and a motivating element to keep persevering, and for this reason it is intended to commemorate this tenth anniversary.

–Unveiling of commemorative plaque 10th anniversary Hispania Nostra Prize by the President of Hispania Nostra, Araceli Pereda, and the Mayor of the Town Hall, José Manuel Igual.

1:00 pm. Panel discussion “Heritage as a factor for sustainability”, with participation from representatives of Aurelio Riancho representing Hispania Nostra, Román San Emeterio representing the College of Architects of Cantabria and Ramón Meneses representing the Ecopark of Trasmiera.
