The Ecopark launches educational leisure activities aimed at local residents.

In view of the fact that the perimeter confinement of municipalities in Cantabria will continue for yet another fortnight, the Ecopark of Trasmiera has prepared a menu of free experiences expressly aimed at the residents of the municipality. Under the motto “Move and get to know your municipality”, the Ecopark offers four experiences so that residents can “recognise” their municipality, to that end, four experiences have been prepared ranging from a nature route, to a visit of the Santa Olaja Mill or the House of the Tides, and, as the most innovative activity designed for families, a Gymkhana on the Joyel marsh.

The Gymkhana begins with a very special visit to the House of the Tides, where participants will be given some knowledge about the wetland and certain local traditions, and then the rules of the game and the clues to discover the treasure and the secrets of the tidal mill will be provided. 90 minutes to enjoy as a family getting to know our natural environment and our heritage.

Another activity that

will surprise many residents is the Route along the Castellano Ría and the Historic Quarter of Isla, which will be offered on the coming Saturdays until 19 December and runs through marvellous natural settings that very few people know, since the route follows a path that is hardly used.

The programme is completed with a visit to the Santa Olaja Mill or the House of the Tides, for those who want an introduction to our cultural and natural heritage without the need for long walks.

All activities are FREE for residents of the municipality, although they must make a prior booking by entering the booking website of the Ecopark:
