The Historic Quarters of Isla, as a whole, were declared in 2004 Asset of Cultural Interest in the category of “Cultural Site, Route Camino de Santiago”. It has recently been restored and is one of the most visited places in the municipality. It features several buildings declared A.C.I. (Asset of Cultural Interest) that faithfully represent the history of the three branches of power: the civil power, reflected in the palace house of the Counts of Isla, the religious power, visible in the cathedral church of San Julián y Santa Basilisa, and the military power, which you can see when you discover the two medieval towers (Torre del Cabrahigo and the Torre del Rebollar). In addition, next to the church, the former Hospital of Pilgrims has been restored, and it functions as an accommodation facility for the Camino de Santiago.
A small rural core that is fully semi-pedestrianised, very pleasant for strolling and for admiring the monuments and its old heraldic manor houses, as well as the famous orchards of Isla, where the renowned pepper and other orchard produce are grown.
