This Interpretation Centre tells us about one of the most defining features of the Trasmiera region: the Trasmiera craftsmen, who in their thousands travelled across Spain, Portugal and parts of America, and who, specialising in the trades of architecture, stone-cutting, sculpture and bell-making, left an innumerable legacy of cathedrals, churches, bridges, palaces, altarpieces and bells, which today form part of the historic heritage. Through a didactic and interactive exhibition, you will learn how these craftsmen worked and some of the most important works they left us in Arnuero and other places in Trasmiera and across Spain. The visit includes the Church of the Assumption, which has the most important Plateresque altarpiece in Cantabria.
