Pilgrims’ hostel and information office

Arnuero Town Hall, following the comprehensive restoration of the historic centre of Isla, put into operation the Pilgrims’ Hostel on the Camino de Santiago which is located next to the parish church.

Management has currently been assigned to the non-profit Association «En Búsqueda», which offers accommodation and breakfast in return for a donation.

This is a medieval building, whose origins date back to the 11th century, and which functioned for centuries as a pilgrims’ hospital, and has been restored as the North Camino de Santiago Hostel.

The Hostel includes a kitchen lounge with a patio, three shared bedrooms with 6, 15 and 14 beds, 2 shared bathrooms with showers, and an accessible bathroom for people with disabilities.

Next to the Hostel, the Town Hall has a Pilgrim Information Office which operates during the summer season and also provides cultural, tourist and route information and visits to be made in the Trasmiera Eco-Park.
